Shaker-inspired chairs
These chairs, both comfortable and elegant, have been inspired by the clean lines and impeccable craftmanship of American Shaker furniture from the mid-19th century. I make them in several varieties of hardwood -- oak, cherry, walnut, or curly maple. Shaker-inspired styles include the rocker, armchair, side chair, sewing rocker, child's rocker, counter stool (with or without back), and footstool. All armchairs, side chairs and sewing rockers come in 3- and 4-slat versions, and regular or large sizes. Seats are woven with hickory bark or Shaker tape, which comes in a variety of colors.
Rustic chairs
This line of chairs has been inspired by the grace and natural beauty of the living tree, capturing the essence found in nature. Rustic chair styles include the footstool, fireside stool, bench (large or small), twig back chair, counter stool (with woven back, slat back, or backless), and settee. Most rustic chairs are made from ironwood with hickory bark seats.
